Brandon Williams lost an uphill battle in a Congressional district heavy with Democrats

Syracuse, N.Y. – U.S. Rep. Brandon Williams, R-Sennett, lost his bid for reelection Tuesday in a district that was more friendly to Democrats than the district he won by a nose two years ago.
After a redistricting approved by the Democrat-led state legislature, the 22nd Congressional District has 30,000 more Democrats than Republicans, up from a Democratic advantage of 20,000 voters two years ago.
